Kings of Leon join Sydney Summertime’s star-studded line-up

  • Kings of Leon are the latest big-name act announced for Sydney Summertime’s debut concert season.
  • They’ll headline the festival’s second confirmed concert on February 28, 2027.
  • The American rock band will be joined by local Aussie band Ocean Alley.

The Strokes kicked things off with a bang as the first headliners announced for Sydney Summertime, and now another big name has joined the bill.

Kings of Leon will headline the festival’s second confirmed concert, bringing their iconic rock hits to Centennial Park on Sunday, February 28, 2027.

Famous for anthems like “Sex on Fire” and “Use Somebody”, there’s no doubt that Kings of Leon will get the crowd singing, with a balmy summer evening at Centennial Park providing the perfect backdrop.

Their Sydney Summertime performance will follow the release of their tenth studio album, “O My Beloved”, which is due out on November 6, 2026.

The band last toured Australia in 2022, playing to a packed crowd at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena. This time round, Kings of Leon will be joined by local alternative rock band Ocean Alley, who hail from the Northern Beaches.

Steve Kamper, the Minister for Jobs and Tourism, said: “We’re thrilled to have Kings of Leon on the Sydney Summertime program… Bringing an iconic band like Kings of Leon to NSW will put our state firmly in the spotlight as a world-class destination for live music experiences, while delivering a major boost for our hotels, restaurants, bars, retailers and local businesses.”
