The electronic music legend will take to the stage at Carriageworks for a three-night residency.
In huge news for Sydney’s music scene, Fatboy Slim has announced that he’ll take over the cavernous warehouse of Carriageworks for three exclusive nights.
Fatboy Slim: The Carriageworks Residency will mark the only New South Wales stop on the legend’s Australian tour, with performances across three nights from March 5, 6 and 7, 2027.
He’ll also perform one night each in Fremantle and Brisbane, plus two shows in Melbourne, but Sydney is the only city where he’ll take the stage three times, and, frankly, we’re feeling pretty smug about it.
His full tour schedule is as follows:
- Wednesday, March 3: Esplanade Park – Fremantle WA
- Friday, March 5: Carriageworks – Sydney NSW
- Saturday, March 6: Carriageworks – Sydney NSW
- Sunday, March 7: Carriageworks – Sydney NSW
- Wednesday, March 10: On The Banks – Brisbane QLD
- Friday, March 12: The Underpass – Melbourne VIC
- Saturday, March 13: The Underpass – Melbourne VIC
Fans can expect to hear all of Fatboy Slim’s biggest global hits, including “Right Here Right Now”, “Praise You” and “Weapon of Choice”, alongside his more recent releases. Also on the cards is “Satisfaction Skank”, a mash-up of his own “The Rockafeller Skank” and The Rolling Stones’ “Satisfaction”, as well as “Funk Drunk”, his latest single with Brazilian DJ Carola and Felix Da Housecat.
Fatboy Slim (whose real name is Norman Cook) shared his excitement about touring Australia in 2027,
“For this tour to Australia I wanted to get up close with my people, play venues with real atmosphere and have a proper party!,” he said. “Bridges, rivers, parks, old railway sheds – if it’s a bit weird and the sound system’s loud enough, I’m there.”
Carriageworks is obviously suitably “weird” enough for megastar, as it is actually an old railway shed. The venue has been killing it with incredible lineups in recent years, with its huge, raw industrial space perfect for hosting gigs that embrace underground culture while giving you enough space to dance.
Peggy Gou performed an exclusive show at Carriageworks in late January, while Lil’ Kim took to the stage to headline Vivid Music there in May. The venue is no stranger to hosting electronic and techno heavyweights, including Underworld, Porter Robinson and Mall Grab in recent months.
The venue is much more intimate than any arena or open-air, festival-style stage that an artist of Fatboy Slim’s calibre would usually perform at. Tickets are also priced at just $139, which feels pretty reasonable compared with some of the big-name shows that roll into Afterpay Arena, Accor Stadium and Allianz Stadium.
Depending on how much of a hardcore Fatboy Slim fan you are (and how much you’re willing to queue up early) you could be front and centre of the stage during this gig, while avoiding paying extortionate amounts for tiered seating.

Look, it’s not going to be easy. These are going to be some of Sydney’s most coveted tickets of 2027, but luckily, your odds of securing tickets are slightly higher than in other cities, thanks to the legend blessing us with three separate shows.
