The Sydney Boat Show is dropping anchor at Sydney Showground this week, with four days of sleek boats, live casting demonstrations, expert advice and thousands of marine products.
Celebrating its 58th year, the Sydney Boat Show returns on July 30 until August 2 for an extended weekend of live entertainment, interactive experiences and the latest in marine innovation.
Hundreds of boats will be on display, as well as thousands of the latest marine products from over 120 local and global exhibitors. Boating Industry Association (BIA) Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Fielding, stated his excitement for the event’s return:
“Sydney Boat Show has a history as Sydney’s premier boating event for nearly 60 years, and we are so proud to see such a strong line-up of exhibitors and partners coming together to deliver an engaging, hands-on experience for visitors in 2026,” Mr Fielding said.
Special guests to share top fishing tips
For boating and fishing enthusiasts, one of the biggest drawcards of the Sydney Boat Show is the chance to hear from some of Australia’s most recognisable names in angling.
Taking to the Anaconda Main Stage will be fishing legends Andrew “ET” Ettingshausen and Steve “Starlo” Starling. Ex-footy player turned fishing fanatic, ET is known for hosting his own show, Escape Fishing with ET. Alongside Starlo, another TV personality and Australia’s best-known fishing writer, they’ll be sharing expert techniques, insider tips and stories from decades spent on the water.
Over at the huge 14,000-litre Berkley Supertank, renowned angler Michael “Cookie” Cooke will host live casting demonstrations, giving visitors the chance to pick up practical skills and watch expert techniques in action.
Foodies won’t want to miss Paul “Burty” Burt in the popular Boat Show Kitchen, where the celebrity chef and fishing personality will present live Catch ‘N’ Cook demonstrations, showcasing how to transform fresh catches into delicious seafood dishes.
These special guests may not mean much to your youngsters, but most budding young anglers will recognise Sydney FishTok favourite Shroom, who has nearly 200,000 followers on TikTok. He’ll be talking on the Main Stage on Saturday and Sunday about FishTok, before encouraging fans to chat to him at a meet and greet.
