Congratulations to Nicole from Quakers Hill, who is the lucky winner of our Sydney Seaplanes competition!
Nicole has won a Sydney Highlights Flight Experience for Two, worth $700, which will see her soaring above Sydney Harbour and taking in some of the city’s most iconic sights from the sky.
And while Nicole had a few contenders for her plus one (she’s a mum of four), she says she’ll most likely be bringing her husband along. Talk about the ultimate date!
Nicole doesn’t get into the city or around Sydney Harbour particularly often, usually visiting for the occasional theatre trip or family day out. So she’s particularly excited to see the city from an entirely new perspective.
“I think the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House would probably be the highlights, but seeing the whole harbour from up high… It’s a completely different view,” she says.
“You get a better perspective of just how big the harbour is and just how big Sydney is.”
It’s also Nicole’s first time on a seaplane, and fortunately, she’s not afraid of heights.
“I’m looking forward to it,” she says.
With her birthday coming up in December, Nicole is considering making the experience part of her celebrations, when she’ll hopefully be treated to some beautiful summer skies over the harbour.
The win came as a complete surprise to Nicole, who has previously won a couple of smaller competitions, including movie tickets.
“But nothing like this,” she laughs. “I’m really excited; it was so unexpected.”
