- The new dining room and bar, Felons Seafood, adds to the wharf bar.
- Felons Brewing Co arrived in Sydney from Brisbane in October 2024.
We love Felons Manly here at the Sydney Travel Guide, and it looks like we’re not alone. Since taking over Manly Wharf Bar in October, the Felons Brewing Co team have transformed the waterfront spot with their innovative craft beers.
โWe believe Felons will elevate what locals have always loved about this destination, bringing fresh energy with award-winning beers, a creative produce-driven menu and a stellar live music lineup,โ said co-founder and director of Artemus Group, Adam Flaskas, when the venue opened in October.
The vision has clearly come alive as they’ve announced an expansion, coming in just a few weeks!

What we know about the new addition at Felons Manly
Announced today, Felons Seafood will open in late June and add to the already thriving brewpub on Manly Wharf. The dining room and bar will be led by Luke Bourke, the current The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2025 Young Chef of the Year.
Patrons can expect the classic relaxed Felons atmosphere, with a menu that celebrates Australia’s oceans and coastlines. Seasonal and responsibly sourced seafood paired with Felons’ signature brews and views across the harbour? Sign us up.
On the menu, raw bar favourites, whole grilled fish and reimagined classics sit side-by-side. Designed by Bourke in collaboration with former Rockpool culinary direction Corey Costelloe, the menu showcases Bourke’s contemporary style and Indigenous heritage.
Iโm excited to be back working alongside Corey to bring this vision to life. Our goal for Felons Seafood is to showcase honest flavours and exceptional produce in a thoughtful yet approachable way. Weโll be working closely with local fishers and growers to keep the menu fresh, simple, and grounded in the best of what our local waters and producers have to offer.

A new era for Felons
Felons Seafood marks the latest evolution for Felons Brewing Co. Originally based in Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves precinct, the brewery found its name from the true story of four felons who, in 1823, sailed from Sydney to Illawarra. Only, they were blown off course and shipwrecked on Queensland’s Moreton Island.
The opening of the Manly Wharf brewpub marked a bit of a full-circle moment.
As well as their innovative craft beers and those incredible Japanese rice lagers, Felons Manly has been delivering on the food front too. The Weekly Eats menu features $20 pizza on Mondays, $28 steak with shoestring fries and an IPA on Wednesdays or $28 Sunday roast with all the trimmings. Oyster Hour (MondayโFriday 3pmโ6pm until June 11) has also been a hit.
There are a few seafood dishes on the menu, but Felons Seafood marks a distinct development. It’s Manly Cove location is the perfect place to savour fresh, simple and high-quality seafood right on Sydney Harbour. Watch this space for more details in the coming weeks.
