Cutting a colossal shadow in the comedy industry, Kevin Hart is now one of the circuit’s most bankable stars, and it’s been that way for over a decade now. Why? Well, Sydney is about to find out with Hart returning to the Harbour City this September as part of his worldwide Acting My Age tour, locking in a show at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney Olympic Park for Friday, September 26.
With both Emmy and Grammy nominations sitting behind him, Hart has built up a brand of comedy that’s quite simply unmatched on the global circuit right now. His last visit to Australia, as part of his 2023 Reality Check tour swiftly sold out with Billboard naming it the highest-grossing comedy tour that year.
Acting My Age will be Kevin Hart’s ninth special to date, leading to a quick three-show run down under which will also take the funnyman to Perth’s RAC Arena (Tuesday, September 23) and Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena (Thursday, September 25). His visit will wrap with a stop in Sydney on Friday, September 26.
“Acting My Age is my ninth tour and I wanted to change things up by creating a more intimate environment,” said Hart, who will be performing in some of Australia’s biggest arenas.
“This tour is about connecting with the audience and feeding off the crowd’s energy and laughter.”
The upcoming tour will be a completely phone-free experience, mirroring the standard policy for touring big-name touring comedians in the age of the entitled social media user. All phones, smartwatches and accessories will be secured for each guest during the show, using specialised Yondr pouches for the duration. This means attendees retain possession of their devices, but can only access them in designated Phone Use Areas.
Tour promoters Live Nation states that attendees caught using a device during the performance will be removed from the venue.
