She may not have toured for seven years, but Katy Perry’s back and busy. Just seven weeks ago, she was part of the all-female crew who were blasted 100 kilometres above Earth on the Blue Origin New Shepard rocket. Next up? A world tour, including an extended run in Australia.

Her latest album 143 dropped in September and it peaked at number two in the ARIA charts. Perry announced her world tour a few weeks later, live on Australian breakfast show Sunrise.

The Lifetimes Tour is her fifth concert tour, which started in Mexico in April. The concert is set within a video game world, following a half-human half-machine Perry as she battles against artificial intelligence (called Mainframe). A narrated prologue reveals that the Mainframe has stolen the world’s butterflies, and that dogs are siding with cats over humans. Sure…

To top it all off, Perry flies on wires, engages in a lightsaber battle and rides a metallic creature too. All very otherworldly. Feels fitting following her recent space adventures (see below).

The headlines may not have been entirely positive about Katy Perry recently, but additional shows in Sydney and Brisbane were added just two days after the first sale due to demand. Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth all had extra dates added too. Looks like Aussie fans can’t get enough – and the time has finally arrived for the Katy Perry Sydney shows.

Katy Perry Sydney Concert Dates

The Teenage Dream singer will perform at Qudos Bank Arena at the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct on Wednesday, June 4 and again next week on Monday, June 9 and Tuesday, June 10.

What time will Katy Perry come on stage in Sydney?

External doors at the Qudos Bank Arena open at 5:30pm and internal doors open at 6:30pm. The support act will take to the stage at 7:30pm. After the crowd are sufficiently warmed up, Katy Perry is expected to come on stage at around 8:30pm.

Who is the support act for Katy’s Sydney shows?

Rising duo Kinder were announced as the official support for the Australian run of Katy Perry’s highly anticipated Lifetimes Tour. Their electrifying blend of dance, pop and Afrobeat-inspired sounds are sure to get the crowds dancing in time for Perry. The sisters will be joining Katy on every stop of the tour – set to be one of this year’s biggest international tours to come to Australia.

What is the setlist for the Katy Perry Sydney concert shows?

It’s still early days for The Lifetimes Tour, but the setlist from Katy Perry’s opening show in Mexico City looked like this:

Level 1

  1. Artificial
  2. Chained to the Rhythm
  3. Teary Eyes
  4. Dark Horse

Level 2

  1. Woman’s World
  2. California Gurls
  3. Teenage Dream
  4. Hot n Cold
  5. Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)
  6. I Kissed a Girl

Level 3

  1. Nirvana
  2. Crush” (with elements of Crush by Jennifer Paige)
  3. I’m His, He’s Mine
  4. Wide Awake

Level 3.5

  1. Surprise song
  2. Surprise song
  3. All the Love

Level 4

  1. E.T.
  2. Part of Me
  3. Rise

Level 5

  1. Roar
  2. Daisies (remix)
  3. Lifetimes
  4. Firework (with elements of Wonder)

Let’s take a look at Level 3.5, shall we? Not one but two surprise songs. Well, they might not be too surprising, actually, looking at the choices for those slots so far. The first song seems to alternate between Not Like the Movies and Pearl, while the second song has been The One That Got Away at every show so far.

Who knows, perhaps she’ll branch out of those three songs now that her tour has departed America for a while. We’ll soon find out.

Of course, setlists vary and could change between shows but we’d say that’s a pretty good selection. And besides, Billie can really do no wrong, whatever she performs.

How do I travel to the Qudos Bank Arena?

First of all, aim to arrive early to allow time for any unexpected delays. With over 60,000 patrons expected in the Sydney Olympic Park Precinct, make sure to allow plenty of time to travel to the arena.

Train

Trains services run regularly between Central train station and Lidcombe and take around an hour. At Lidcombe, services to Olympic Park Station run every 10 minutes. From there, it’s just a five-minute walk to Qudos Bank Arena.

Bus

A number of services to and from Sydney Olympic Park operate on a daily basis, with the 526 practically taking you to the door. Check timetables and routes here.

Ferry

Make the most of Sydney’s fantastic ferry services and catch the ferry from Circular Quay to Wentworth Point. The journey lasts just under an hour, so the same as the train. Then hop on the Route 526 bus service from the wharf to the Sydney Olympic Park precinct for patrons attending events at Qudos Bank Arena.

Car

There are more than 10,000 onsite car parks throughout the Olympic Park precinct. The largest is P1 Car Park adjoining Qudos Bank Arena. Pre-booking is strongly advised.

All other onsite car parks are within a 10 minute walk of the venue and complimentary shuttle bus services may operate between the arena and all operational car parks.
