Meet our Sofitel Prize Winner, Gail Waizer, who will be celebrating her 25th wedding anniversary in style.

The Sydney Travel Guide is excited to announce that Gail has won our Sofitel Sydney Wentworth prize of a two-night stay at the hotel.

The prize couldnโ€™t have come at a better time for the actress and singer from the Blue Mountains. She had to call off her 25th wedding anniversary celebrations last March due to illness.

But now, the couple will be able to celebrate in style with a stay at Australiaโ€™s first international 5-star hotel.

Travelling down from the Blue Mountains, Gail, a singer and actress herself, is hoping to make the most of her luxury stay in Sydney by going to a show in the city. Gail has been in the music industry for 30 years, and has two albums on spotifyโ€”Sondheim Sincerely and Someone Elseโ€™s Story

Gail Waizer has won a two-night stay at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth.

She is now a teacher, but still participates in local shows and loves all things musical theatre (she recently saw Jesus Christ Superstar at the Capitol Theatre and gave it high praise).

Gail has never stayed at Sofitel Wentworth before but she’s always wanted to, which prompted her to enter the competition through the Sydney Travel Guide

A self-styled foodie, Gail and her husband are also looking forward to using their dining credit on the delicious cuisine that the hotel has to offer.

Gail said she was grateful and excited, which has come at the perfect time for her and her husband following the stress and impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.

She has only won a single Nintendo Wii console game in a competition before. Gail remarked that the Wii game went down well with the kids, however she is thrilled that this time, her and her husband will be able to enjoy the prize.

Congratulations are also in order to our Australian Museum Competition Winnersโ€”Natasha Wandji, Kate Brewer, Samuel Soo, Edgar Tan and Michael Maliwat. They have won family tickets for four to set off on an unforgettable journey through Peru’s history and the breathtaking Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru Exhibition at the Australian Museum, which has recently been extended due to the fantastic response from museum-goers.ย

Another big congratulations to Stephanie Jahns, who has won an incredible experience for two with BridgeClimb Sydney. Stephanie and her chosen guest will ascend the summit of the World’s largest steel arch bridge, giving them a 360-degree view of Sydney.

This also includes a photo package which will include all digital photos of their climb, a certificate of achievement and the ultimate mementoโ€”a Bridgclimb cap.

Keep your eyes peeled on Sydney Travel Guide’s competitions page for more exciting prizes and chances to win.
