Eight-time Grammy Award-winning R&B icon Usher has announced an Australian tour for December 2024, marking his first time down under 2011. Live Nation revealed the big news this morning, squeezing us into Usher’s Past Present Future world tour before the year is done and dusted.
And while he’ll only be performing in Melbourne and Sydney, the “My Way” crooner is planning four shows for each city, starting in Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena in late November and then moving up to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena for the first few days of December.

With over three decades at the forefront of the music industry, the singer who helped define modern R&B is still one of the most in-demand artists on the touring circuit right now. His current shows around the US are regularly going viral, with seductive clips of him playfully feeding his fans cherries, and his set lists have been swollen with hits from his entire career (hence, the name of tour) from 1993’s “Call Me a Mack” (recorded when he was 14 years old) to modern hits like “Climax,” OMG” and “Yeah!”
With Usher also showcasing tracks from his most recent album, 2024’s Coming Home, these shows should be a well-deserved celebration of one of the most successful singers of our time.
Usher also, randomly, revealed plans that he hopes to retire and move to Australia one day, expressing his excitement about heading down under for the first time in 14 years.
Sydney Olympic Park’s Qudos Bank Arena will host Usher on December 1-2 and 4-5. There’s every possibility Live Nation will be added extra Usher shows if demand is there, but four is usually the most these big name artists perform in any one city. And four is quite a lot.
When do Usher tickets go on sale?
Presale tickets to the USHER: Past Present Future 2025 Global Tour go on sale from Monday, May 12 at 12pm for Sydney. A general sale will follow on Friday, May 16 at 1pm for Sydney.
All tickets can be purchased through Live Nation Australia.
What to expect from Usher’s Past Present Future tour
Usher began his already hugely successful Past Present Future Tour in Washington D.C. in August 2024, following highly acclaimed performances at festival’s such as New Orleans’ iconic Essence Festival, where he headlined one of the three nights alongside Janet Jackson, Busta Rhymes and Cash Money Records.
The setlist reportedly features 47 songs from Usher’s extensive back catalogue, which includes the Diamond-selling Confessions, his most successful album to date and one of the best selling records in music history.
What songs will Usher perform in Sydney?
The Past Present Future Tour set list is a doozy. It’s the most comprehensive retrospective Usher has performed to date, looking back on his mega-successful career. From a quick look online, it doesn’t appear that he switches the set list up or changes any songs in the structure so it’s safe to say fans can expect to hear the following, in this exact order.
