British singer-songwriter Sam Fender has announced he’ll be heading Down Under this November, fresh off the release of his highly acclaimed new album, People Watching, which became the fastest-selling UK album of the year so far.
The rockstar shot to fame after the success of his debut album, Hypersonic Missiles, and has been captivating the music industry ever since, with his raw talent and unique voice.
Known for his distinct Geordie accent and evocative songwriting, Fender’s music explores his own personal struggles of growing up, as well as themes of family and mental health, while remaining loyal and proud of his hometown, North Shields.
Sam Fender’s return to Australia
Fender is no stranger to Australian crowds. He performed at the popular festival Splendour in the Grass in 2023, as well as two Sydney shows in 2022. Due to overwhelming demand, his concert at the Enmore Theatre led to the addition of a second show at the larger Hordern Pavilion.
This time round, he’ll be accompanied by the incredible Holly Humberstone, who will be returning to Australia after several sold-out shows last year. The duo went viral for their acoustic rendition of Fender’s Seventeen Going Under, garnering 3.2 million views on Youtube. Here’s to hoping they’ll perform this version on the Aussie tour!
