Dog lovers, rejoice! Sea Sydney Harbour’s new “Dogs on Deck” cruise, launching this November, lets you set sail with your furry friend.
Designed especially for dog lovers, the new one-hour afternoon cruise invites guests to enjoy the stunning sights of Sydney Harbour with their four-legged companions by their side. If your dog loves sticking their head out of the car window, imagine the upgrade on a sleek catamaran, sea breeze ruffling their fur.
Officially setting sail on November 2, Sydney’s first-ever dog-friendly cruise will allow the pups to relax on deck, meet other furry friends, soak up the sunshine and accompany their owners, who will be busy sipping on BYO drinks, snacking on grazing platters and socialising with other dog enthusiasts. Pups will be offered plenty of treats, plus there will be water bowls available on board.
The sailing will take place aboard a spacious 10.5 metre catamaran, which can cater for a maximum of 20 dogs.
Ann Balzan, Business Manager of Sea Sydney Harbour, said, “We wanted to create something truly unique for Sydney — an experience where dogs aren’t just allowed, they’re on an adventure designed to include them.”
“Dogs are family and best friends, and now dogs and their humans can enjoy the harbour together.”
The “Dogs on Deck” Harbour Cruise will operate on select weekend dates and is perfect for local dog owners, visitors missing their pups or any dog lovers looking to sail the harbour with a fun, social twist.
Tickets for the cruise cost $69 per adult, $19 per dog and $29 for children ages three to 12. Guests will be picked up by the friendly and experienced skipper and crew at Man O War Steps, Circular Quay (next to the Sydney Opera House).

Rules for pups
Unfortunately, not all dogs will be welcome on board. Only small to medium-sized dogs can set sail, with the maximum weight limit of 25 kilograms. Each dog must have their own ticket, with breed and weight details provided at the time of booking, and they must be well-behaved, vaccinated and desexed.
The dog must remain on the lead the whole cruise, and owners are requested to ensure their dogs have relieved themselves before boarding.
