After almost instantly selling out by shelling out for apex hyperpop star Charli XCX last year, Laneway Festival is doubling down on Gen Z’s role models with none other than Chappell Roan for its 21st anniversary lineup. The “Good Luck, Babe!” singer will headline Laneway Festival 2026, bringing her latest tour down under while the festival switches things up with new venues, extra stages, and a brand new pit stop on the Gold Coast.
Over the past few years, Laneway has emerged as one of Australia’s most resilient music festivals, owing to its on-the-pulse curation and immaculate timing. It may be more trend-following than trend-setting nowadays, but there’s always that unmatched ability to dig through the hype and pull out crowd-pleasing lineups, such as this one.
Chappell Roan will be joined by Wolf Alice, Role Model, PinkPantheress, Wet Leg and cult Swedish rap duo Yung Lean and bladee.
But that’s far from it. Emotions should be at an all time high with the likes of Lucy Dacus, Cavetown, Wisp and Mt Joy. Homegrown favourites like Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Blusher and Shady Nasty will also get a chance to showcase their latest tunes, while Charli XCX collaborator The Dare should get the dancefloor pumping.
