Harry Potter fever hits Dural Christmas Tree Farm

  • The Harry Potter Dural Christmas Tree Farm display has popped up for only a week.
  • 50 trees have been decked out in Wizarding World lore, with hundreds of decorations making reference to the iconic series.
  • The farm will host daily scavenger hunts for kids to win tree-ready Harry Potter decorations.

Harry Potter fans will want to the head out to The Hills district these holidays to find a dazzling Wizarding World Christmas lights display at Dural Christmas Tree Farm.

Last year’s official Harry Potter lights display saw a home in Ramsgate Beach dressed in references from the iconic book and film series. Now it seems Warner Bros. Discovery Australia has gone even bigger, moving away from the residential to a full-blown field of 50 gorgeous natural Christmas trees.

Each of the 50 trees have been drenched in Harry Potter inspired decorations, from broomsticks and cauldrons to Ron’s flying car. Kids have a bit of a treasure hunt ahead of them as well, with Hedwig the Owl hiding amongst the trees along with several Golden Snitches.

The Demasi family farm worked with Warner Bros. Discovery Australia on the free week-long display with ambitions to create an experience so immersive and whimsical that’d it’d be “enough to rival Hogwarts’ Great Hall.”

Hundreds of Harry Potter themed decorations were used to bring this project to life, featuring clever references to iconic moments across the series starting with a grand gated entrance framed with familiar moments. Think floating candles from the Great Hall, Dobby statues and giant Harry Potter glasses and wands.

“My wife and I have been selling trees for 20 years, and love to offer our visitors something extra each year to make their visit even more special,” said Dural Christmas Tree Farm owner Leo Demasi.

“As Harry Potter fans, we are so excited to be sharing the display with our visitors and watch them get as excited about it as we are. We encourage everyone to come down to walk through the display and experience it for themselves.”

If you’re taking the family along to the farm this weekend, keep an eye out for various pink envelopes. The farm will be hosting daily scavenger hunts with unique tree-ready decorations as prizes.

The Harry Potter Christmas farm display is only up until Sunday, December 15.
