Hans Zimmer is one of Hollywood’s greats. His musical talents have won him numerous awards, including five Grammys, two Academy Awards, three Golden Globes, an American Music Award and a Tony Award, as well as six Emmy nominations.
Zimmer’s highly dramatic, cinematic compositions have touched everything from The Lion King and Pirates of the Caribbean to Gladiator and Inception. His experimental score for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune played a key role in creating the otherworldly desert planet of Arrakis and beyond, earning the composer his second Academy Award, so it is no surprise he also scored the critically acclaimed sequel, Dune: Part Two, which premiered last year.
It’s this prolific filmography that’ll anchor the Hans Zimmer 2025 Australian tour which, as announced on Tuesday, February 11, will arrive at arenas in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in late April 2025.
It’s a rare opportunity for locals and visitors to immerse themselves in these brilliant, world-building scores as the musical genius performs with a full orchestra, touching down in Brisbane first, with one single show at Brisbane Entertainment Centre before arriving in Sydney for two shows at Qudos Bank Arena.
