Scrolling through TikTok, it’s easy to get sucked into the comments, as Ed Sheeran seemingly found over the weekend. He’s sent fans (and probably his management team too) into a frenzy with one casual response to a fan.
Sheeran is currently playing across Europe on his Mathematics tour, which started in Dublin back in 2022. In June alone, he’ll perform in Marseille, Rome, Lille and Stuttgart. Phew. With his incoming album, Play, set for release in September, we doubt he’ll be slowing down anytime either.
Sharing his adventures in Madrid on TikTok over the weekend, fans have been getting insight to what a world tour looks like and, rightfully so, wondering when he’ll bless their country with a show.
They say if you don’t ask, you don’t get, and TikTok user @soph dared to ask:

Sheeran last performed in Australia in 2023, when he made headlines for repeatedly breaking Australian concert attendance records. More than 200,000 fans travelled to Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia’s largest stadium, to catch his 2023 shows.
Since then, he’s continued to drop new music, including Azizam and Old Phone, which are rumoured to be on his eighth studio album.
Even though hundreds of thousands of us saw him when he was last in Australia, we’re sure demand for the next tour will still be there. The busker-turned-global superstar pulls in more than two billion Spotify stream each for Shape of You, Perfect and Photograph. With more than 90 million monthly listeners, Sheeran is the third most followed artist globally and one of the most successful artists of his generation.
So get ready for the next big ticket-buying battle.
Eagle-eyed Nova 96.9 radio host Smallzy picked up on the reply, sharing it to his Instagram Story stating: ‘BRB selling organs to buy concert tickets’.
The TikTok comment is all we have at the moment, as no official announcement has been made. Yet. But Sheeran’s management team teased that something is coming, telling Daily Mail Australia ‘We aren’t in the habit of pre-announcing announcements โ but there will be news on our plans for ’26 later this summer.’ And they didn’t deny the claim either, so it’s as good as confirmed in our eyes.
Watch this space for “official” news of the 2026 Australian tour though…
