Bondi is paradise for anyone who loves an invigorating dip in the ocean. Between one of the most iconic beaches in the world, two beautiful rock pools and the iconic Bondi Icebergs pool, locals and visitors have plenty of ways to submerge themselves in aquatic bliss.
So adding another wouldn’t hurt.
That’s what all-reality subscription service Hayu is doing this Valentine’s Day, staging a pop-up promotion by taking over Bondi Pavilion’s Dolphin Court with a giant pool-sized hot tub.
It’s all in the name of promoting the new season of Below Deck Down Under, taking a big splash with a picturesque set-up that’ll come complete with refreshments, a towel service, cabanas and a rotating roster of DJs. The pop-up will only be open from 10am to 6pm on Valentine’s Day (Friday, February 14).
Given it’s a pop-up activation, Hayu subscribers will be given priority access to the hot tub. They simply need to show their app upon entry and give the codeword “Captain’s Lounge” to jump the general public queue.
Hayu is promising a full-blown day party for the occasion, doing Valentine’s Day a bit differently with resident DJs and “disco helmet dancers” while punters relax in cabanas or join the fun in the large-scale hot tub. The tub itself has been designed to recreate a super yacht experience, immersing the public in the ostentatious lifestyle (hopefully without the drama) that has made Below Deck such a reality TV phenomenon over the past decade.
