From Friday, February 7 to Sunday, February 9, Darling Harbour’s Tumbalong Park will host the inaugural Artistry Festival with the goal of “celebrating the rich diversity of the Asia-Pacific.”.

Given how popular cross-cultural performances have been in Sydney lately, with the success of SXSW Sydney a prime example, the three-day event is hoping to attract a massive crowd with its Lunar New Year celebrations. These will be augmented by showcases of creativity from all across the region, from a ticketed Justice Crew concert to Sydney’s first Muay Thai open-air tournament and a pop-up art gallery with live street art.

Throw in a mixed bag of engaging workshops, from filmmaking to Mahjong, and you’ve got an entire weekend celebrating cross-cultural creativity all its many forms. This will all be framed by over 20 food vendors, including stalls by local favourites Thai Riffic and Dodee Paidang, plus parades, lion dances and other cultural performances.

“The Artistry 2025 is more than a festival—it’s a celebration of unity through diversity,” said Festival Director Yudi Loefti.

“This free [with some ticketed events] festival invites Sydneysiders and visitors to immerse themselves in the dynamic tapestry of the Asia-Pacific while enjoying world-class entertainment and cuisine.”

Some of the highlights of this first-time festival are as follows.

Friday, February 7
Kick off the weekend with a performance by Justice Crew. Free entry to the main festival with ticketed access for the Justice Crew concert.

Saturday, February 8
Witness a colourful multicultural parade at 12pm, celebrating the Lunar New Year and welcoming the Year of the Snake, featuring costumes and performances.

Sunday, February 9
A day-long celebration of cultural performances, street art, rides, and more to cap off this extraordinary festival.
