- The annual Marrickville Music Festival returns to the Marrickville Road and its surrounding laneways this Sunday.
- The program will feature a range of local talent, performing across seven stages.
- The lineup includes soul and funk band Upside Under, internationally acclaimed vocalist Zoe K and transcendent musician byjaye.
The Marrickville Music Festival returns this Sunday, filling the Inner West suburb with live music, creative market stalls and mouth-watering food trucks. The annual festival holds a key space in the suburb’s calendar, offering its residents a free day of fun, community and creativity.
Presented by Inner West Council, the festival has been running since 2003 and has grown into one of Sydney’s most anticipated community events, attracting thousands of people each year.
Alongside the music, festival-goers can enjoy a curated program of food stalls, local craft beer (for which Marrickville is well-known), children’s entertainment, markets and performances showcasing the area’s vibrant multicultural community.
Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne said the festival reflects the area’s identity as the cultural and nightlife capital of Sydney:
“Marrickville Music Festival is a celebration of everything that makes our community unique — diversity, creativity and a love of live music. With seven stages and one of our strongest line-ups yet, this year will be our biggest festival to date.”
